5/8" asphalt millings

Asphalt Millings 5/8"

Characteristics

  • 5/8" average aggregate size
  • contains asphaltic cement that especially bind when hot and compacted
  • used as a topping layer over unscreened asphalt millings
  • dust free driving surface during dry periods
  • material locks together well providing a tightly bound aggregate
  • very resistant to erosion, especially after fully compacted

Uses

  • driveway finish course
  • parking surface when no storm system
  • golf cart drives
  • works very well on sloped surfaces as a final course
Asphalt Millings Unscreened

Asphalt Millings - Unscreened

Characteristics

  • aggregates vary from 1/4" to 4 or 5"
  • contains asphaltic cement that especially bind when hot and compacted
  • used as a base layer under 5/8" asphalt millings
  • without a topping layer, surface finishes bumpy
  • material locks together well providing a tightly bound aggregate
  • very resistant to erosion, especially after fully compacted

Uses

  • driveway base course
  • parking lot base course
  • temporary drives
  • sloped surface erosion protection
Crushed Concrete - No Fines

Crushed Concrete - Without Fines

Characteristics

  • four graded aggregate products vary from under 1" to 6" for "Rip Rap"
  • jagged edges provide a good interlocking mechanism
  • all gradations provide excellent base material
  • larger gradations (rip rap) used to stabilize muck, wet clay and
    other unstable sub grade materials
  • coarser aggregates are usually topped with finer gradations for driving over
  • highly resistant to erosion, especially after fully compacted

Uses

  • driveway base course
  • parking lot base course
  • temporary drives
  • sloped surface erosion protection
crushed stone without fines

Crushed Stone - without fines

Characteristics

  • five products range from 3/8" crush to 1-1/2" crush
  • the absence of fines allows compaction and percolation
where drainage through the applied layer is needed
  • absence of fines provide lower dust levels
  • material locks together well providing a tightly bound aggregate
  • very resistant to erosion, especially after fully compacted

Uses

  • driveway base to finish course depending on product selection
  • parking surface when no storm system
  • golf cart drives
  • works very well on sloped surfaces as a final course
Crushed Stone with fines

Crushed Stone - with fines

Characteristics

  • aggregates vary from 3/8" to 1-1/2" in three different products
  • contains fines to form a well graded compactable material
  • is mostly impervious to water
  • grades well to form a smooth and uniform surface
  • the fines may partially erode in heavy rains on slopes until fully compacted

Uses

  • driveway base or final course
  • parking lot base or final course without a storm system
  • temporary and permanent drives
  • grades to a very smooth driving surface
Class 2 Fill

Fill - Class II
